Cork City Council looks set to axe the entire budget for the provision of public toilets in the city in 2022.
Draft expenditure cuts reported by the Echo show cost cutting measures in a number of areas to save €1.5 million.
The paper states that the North Main Street facility would be removed and all other proposed locations including facilities at the city library and Bishopstown would not go ahead next year.
The traffic calming budget of €100,000 is also likely to be reduced.
