The Cityjet CEO says he hopes vaccination won't be the determining factor whether people can travel this summer.
It comes as Easyjet says bookings for this summer are up 250% on last year fuelling hopes of pent up demand for holidays after lockdown.
Cityjet CEO, Pat Byrne, says proof of not being infectious should be enough to allow people to travel.
"I sincerely hope that the vaccine is not going to be the determining factor whether people can travel or not.
"I think that proof of not being infectious is probably a lot more sensible way to go and that's what I hope will happen.
"If we're waiting for everybody to get vaccinated we could very much miss the boat on the summer, and we don't want that to happen because the aviation and tourism industry has been thrown to the wolves enough."
