A young girl and a woman are in a critical condition after they were found unconscious at a house in Clare.
The discovery was made at around 8am at in Clarecastle.
They've both been taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
The scene is currently preserved for examinations, while an incident room has been set up at Ennis Garda Station.
Anyone with information or witnessed anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact Gardaí.
