Met Eireann says conditions will become increasingly wintry, with a risk of ice and falls of sleet and snow.
Forecaster Matthew Martin says we're in for a chilly few days.
"We'll find through Wednesday that we're going to see this cold polar maritime push down right across the country.
"There could be sleet or wet snow in parts of Leinster for a time.
"For the rest of the week we're going to be on the cold side of that front, so polar maritime air over Ireland bring icy and frosty nights and cold days, with sunny spells and at times some wintry showers."
