The busiest shopping day of the year kicks off today with Black Friday deals today and Cyber Monday in a few days.
The once traditional American sales day - the day after Thanskgiving - has made it's way to Europe in recent years.
It sees online retailers offer discounts - some quite significant.
But Technology Correspondent Jess Kelly advises people to be careful when shopping on UK or other non-EU sites.
"You need to be mindful if you are buying from a website outside of the EU in relation to VAT and import fees.
"That's as well as your consumer rights, you don't want to get stung down the line.
"Take your time, do your research, and then you can buy,"
