James O'Connor from Killeagh confirmed the incident, which happened on the 30th of September, to the Irish Mirror.
The 23 year old Fianna Fáil TD was taking part in a zoom call with over 30 party members when he was seen at the wheel of his car.
A Fianna Fáil spokesperson told the paper that Deputy O'Connor joined the meeting via a hands-free kit in his car for approximately three minutes while driving to Leinster House.
Gardaí say that while Zoom driving is not a specific offence, anyone caught taking part in such a call while at the wheel can de dealt with using current legislation.
