Thousands of Cork students are celebrating after collecting their leaving cert results this morning.
Over 61,000 students picked up the results of their final exam in the past hour in person and online.
David Lordan is the principal of Christian Brothers College in the city.
He told RedFM News about some of the results his students achieved today:
"We're absolutely thrilled with the success of our students from the class of 2022. I'd like to mention two students that have achieved 8 H1 grades and a further three students attained 7 H1s. We had 13 students get 6 H1s and 37 students overall achieved over 600 points. It's a fantastic set of results and I would just like to pay tribute to all the hard work of our students and their teachers and families after a very, very challenging couple of years."
