The Head of the DAA says he doesn't believe holding areas will be used this weekend, if passengers follow advice on arriving at Dublin Airport.
Passengers are being advised to arrive two nd a half hours before a short haul flight and three and a half before a long haul trip.
An extra hour is being advised for those who have to check in a bag.
DAA CEO Dalton Philips says while there will be contingencies in place for those who arrive too early, he doesn't think they'' be needed.
"I don't expect the holding area to be in place this weekend.
"If people are coming two and a half hours ahead and three and a half hours ahead as we've said, it should flow well.
"There will be periods when queuing could be up to an hour."
