The Dublin Airport Authority says it's hopeful that flight caps will not have to be introduced at Dublin Airport.
Over 1,000 flights to and from Dublin Airport have been cancelled to date in July.
Heathrow and Gatwick airports in London recently introduced passenger caps to deal with travel demand.
However the Managing Director of the Dublin Airport Authority, Vincent Harrison says they're hopeful they won't have to introduce similar measures:
"In recent months, airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam, have been forced to implement flight caps as a result of the severe challenges faced by their passengers. This in turn has impacted the holiday and travel plans of millions of people. This is a course of action that we have worked extremely hard to avoid a Dublin Airport."
