The operator of Dublin Airport is to present a plan to government this morning on how it will tackle long delays for passengers.
People waited hours in queues outside the terminal buildings on Sunday due to staffing issues at security, and over 1,000 missed flights.
There have been calls for the army to be brought in to make sure all security gates are open and avoid a repeat this coming bank holiday weekend.
Former transport minister, Shane Ross, thinks it's a 'reasonable' idea.
"If the DAA could use the Army, I think it's a perfectly reasonable and sensible situation.
"You've got something here that is tantamount to an emergency in terms of tourism and in terms of business, because the reputational damage to the country is incalculable.
"PEople are not going to come here as a result, and airlines are also going to think twice about coming here."
