The Dáil will debate a confidence motion in the Housing Minister this evening.
Darragh O'Brien is expected to survive the motion brought by People Before Profit.
People Before Profit is bringing this motion in Darragh O'Brien saying the housing crisis is worse than ever more than two years into his tenure as Minister.
They site soaring homelessness, record high rents and the general unaffordability of housing as reasons the Minister should be sacked.
The Government will present a countermotion today expressing confidence in Darragh O'Brien.
It will cite the increased level of home completions this year and the fact 16,000 first time buyers have got on the property ladder over the past year, the most since the financial crash.
The Government currently has an official Dáil majority of just one vote - but no confidence motion in the lifetime of this coalition has been that close, and it's not expected Minister Darragh O'Brien will lose this evening.
