The discovery of the remains of an elderly man in south Dublin is being treated as a tragic incident.
It's thought the body may have gone unnoticed at a house on Sallynoggin Road for a year or more.
Council workers clearing the house discovered a grenade at the property on Wednesday morning, before later finding the man's remains.
Conor Lally, security and crime editor with the Irish Times, say he may have died during one of the lockdowns.
