Dogs Trust is making an urgent appeal for donations.
The charity says it is running low on treats and tinned dog food for the animals.
In the past few weeks, it said it's been dealing with a surge in post-pandemic surrenders, over 2,000 this year.
Donations to the charity can be made at DogsTrust.ie.
