Drugs, believed to be worth at least €10m, have been discovered at Dublin Port.
The cocaine, heroin and cigarettes were found in a container yesterday.
Revenue's customs officers are continuing to examine the haul.
Conor Lally, Security and Crime Editor with the Irish Times, says the container is believed to have arrived from continental Europe.
"It appears that the haul came into the port some days ago.
"Revenue and Customs Officers were keeping it under surveillance because they knew that there were drugs as part of the haul.
"When it hadn't been picked up for several days they moved in and started to examine the haul last night."
