A Dublin girl who met Cristiano Ronaldo after the final whistle of the Ireland V Portugal match has gone viral around the world.
11-year-old Addison Whelan, took home Ronaldo's jersey after meeting her sporting hero on the pitch at the Aviva Stadium last night.
The fifth-class student plays U13s for Shelbourne, and hopes to one day play for Ireland.
Addison explains the dramatic moment when she made it on to the pitch:
"I jumped over the barrier and I ran as fast as I could over to him, and all the people were chasing after me so I looked behind me. Then when I looked forward again, there was another two from the other angle so I swerved in a little bit. And I went over to him but they caught me. So then I was just screaming, like screaming his name and he came over and he was telling them to go away."
