Locals have been expressing their shock at the huge spike in noise pollution, with the opening of the new North runway at Dublin Airport.
There was a massive turnout of residents at a public meeting in the Coolquay Lodge at the Ward in North County Dublin last night.
Houses that were never meant to be on any flight path are now being hit by noise levels of over 90 decibles.
Councillor Dean Mulligan who was there, says locals feel the level of noise is much worse than expected.
