Dublin's white-water rafting plan has been replaced with a proposal to build a lido in the north inner city.
Expected to cost at least €25 million, a number of outdoor public pools would sit alongside a water training course for the Dublin Fire Brigade at George's Dock.
Councillor Nial Ring is worried it's just another version of the rafting plan:
"The concern we have is that there will be no community engagement. This questions the cost benefits of the Fire Brigade training Center given that the training needed is only costing €20,000 a year."
