€325,000 in funding is being provided to Parent and Toddler Groups.
The money will be allocated through local city and county council Childcare Committees.
Minister for Children, Roderic O' Gorman, says he hopes the initiative will encourage the development of new groups.
That's in addition to supporting the continuation and expansion of existing ones.
Parent and Toddler Groups are encouraged to contact their local council's Childcare Committee with any queries about the initiative or the application process.
