The Green Party leader says he is hopeful two suspended party members will back the government, in today's Sinn Féin motion of no-confidence.
Eamon Ryan says he will be in contact with both Neasa Hourigan and Patrick Costello throughout the day, before they make their decision.
It comes as the government's chief whip Jack Chambers said he believes they'll survive the Sinn Féin motion with a clear majority.
Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald called for an immediate change of government in the interest of the country:
"It's my strong view that the sooner we get rid of this government and and more importantly, the sooner we give the people an opportunity to vote in a government of change the better because there's a huge amount of work to be done and we need to get out as soon as we possibly can."
