There's a call on Government to re-think its approach to early years care and education.
Early Childhood Ireland wants Budget 2024 to be a 'Children's Budget', ahead of early years childcare reopening tomorrow.
It will reveal more details of its recommendations later this morning.
Early Childhood Ireland CEO, Teresa Heeney says the sector provides a vital service for children:
"Early Years Services - I think everybody understands that how critical they are for Irish society. And what we're saying is, they're also a really critical part of children's formative years. And so what's best for children and children's rights should be at the heart of how they are designed and how they operate".
