Eight people have now died on the roads so far this year.
The latest death was a woman in her 50s near Ballygawley in Sligo last night.
There have been two fatal crashes in Kildare, while there has been one each in Cavan, Donegal, Kerry, Mayo and Meath.
Five drivers, one passenger, one pedestrian, and a motorcyclist have been killed.
