The Environment Minister's denying he's at odds with the Tánaiste over a ban on the sale of turf.
Leo Varadkar last night told the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party the ban would be paused due to the energy crisis.
However he has since rowed back on the claim.
Minister Eamon Ryan says those who own their own turf will continue to be allowed burn it:
"We'll still burn turf. If someone has has their own turf and majority people burning tough at home, have it from their own rights and that's not going to change. No one's stopping that no one's wants to end that culture. We'll be still be burning peat briquettes because they actually are beneath the standard that we're setting in terms of the medics advised. And thirdly, we've just set higher standards for wood, so no one's selling lousy wet wood, which gives us a lot of air pollution."
