14 beaches across Cork were deemed of excellent quality in the report

Its latest report shows that 95% of bathing waters have met or exceeded the minimum required standard, with only five failures out of 147 beaches monitored - none of those beaches are in Cork

Inchydoney East Beach in West Cork has been identified as one of two new bathing waters in 2019 - it will be monitored and classified later this year

The EPA is reminding anyone visiting beaches this year to follow the public health advice, the Government Roadmap to Reopening Society and Business, and any local information in relation to the COVID 19 pandemic.
