Eating too much meat can increase the risk of serious illnesses by as much as 30%.
Research from Oxford University says an additional 70 grams per day can up heart disease risks by 15%
It can also lead to higher probabilities of diabetes and pneumonia.
Lead author of the report, Dr Keren Papier, says people should consider reducing their meat intakes.
"We do see that does depend on how much meat you're consuming and what type of meat you're consuming.
"For instance with every 70gram additional intake of red and processed meat combined, we saw a 15% higher risk of heart disease, and a 30% higher risk of diabetes."
