Football in Dublin could be hit by a referee strike later this month, following alleged assaults on referees.
The Football Association of Ireland says it understands the decision taken by the Dublin branch of the Irish Soccer Referees' Society to strike from November 18th.
The FAI says a meeting with the Dublin branch will be held, in an effort to resolve the matter ahead of the planned strike.
The Association reiterated that all referees must be treated with respect.
