There's a risk the IRFU's decision to ban transgender women from participating in full-contact women's rugby will 'accelerate transphobia.'
That's according to the Emerald Warriors, Ireland's first LGBT+ rugby team.
The club believes the rule change is regressive and does not align with the IRFU's promoting of 'Rugby for All.'
Aaron Doyle, Membership Secretary of the Emerald Warriors, wishes for the authority to do further research and reverse the blanket ban.
