A Fianna Fáil TD has said there is some concern in the party about trying to do a government deal with Fine Gael and the Greens.
Niall Collins has questioned how an agreed 7 per cent reduction in carbon emissions can actually be achieved.
It comes as the leaders of Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil and the Greens are meeting this morning.
They're agreeing a framework and timeline for negotiations to form the next government.
Green Party Councillor Lorna Bogue has said the targets they're looking for are not unreasonable.
"The idea that the Green Party would have the 'temerity' to have red lines going into a negotiation is quite amusing to me.
"Obviously we as a party have been campaigning for forty years on environmental issues, so it should one surprising that we would enter into a negotiation and have red lines."
