Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Green Party will discuss climate change during government formation talks today.
They'll also discuss defence and housing, in what's the seventh day of discussions.
All parties are determined to produce a draft programme for government by the end of the month.
Political analyst Johnny Fallon says that's a realistic timeframe.
"It will mean that they're going to have some very bitter pills to swallow, by nearly every party.
"It is also likely that if they do it by the end of the month, they're going to come back to their members with pretty much a fait accompli, and in a little bit of an urgent rush telling them 'this is it, if we don't agree this we have no government and it is an election'".
