The Finance Minister has hinted planned carbon tax increases could be up for discussion ahead of the Budget.
Legislation would suggest the tax would be increased in the upcoming Budget, but the ongoing energy crisis has raised further questions.
Electric Ireland yesterday raised it's prices for the third time this year with an additional €450 euro added to the average customers annual bills.
Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe says all taxes will be up for discussion ahead of the Budget later this month, but reiterated that he is in favour of the carbon tax as a whole.
