John McClean, of Casimir Avenue in Harold’s Cross, Dublin 8, was due to stand trial, but instead admitted twenty seven charges of indecent assault
The abuse took place while he was a teacher and a rugby coach at Terenure College in Dublin.
The 73-year-old’s sentence hearing is due to take place in March.
