A fourth man is now being questioned by the PSNI in connection with the attempted murder of a senior Detective.
John Caldwell is still in a critical condition after being shot a number of times in front of his young son at an Omagh sports centre on Wednesday night.
The fourth arrest was made in the early hours of this morning when a 22 year old man was detained in the Coalisland area.
Belfast based journalist Amanda Ferguson says police investigation into the attempted murder will be thorough.
"Because John Caldwell was such a senior officer with a high profile, he was involved in investigations of up to 90 murders over the course of his career, he would have known he was under threat in a number of ways.
"I'd imagine the PSNI are throwing every resource and all their man and woman power at this investigation."
