One of the biggest taxi apps in the country says it's seeing twenty to thirty new drivers joining up each week.
However, the Country Manager for Free Now in Ireland says it comes on the back of a 30% reduction in drivers over the last decade.
Niall Carson says simplifying the geography part of the test could help add more cabs on the roads.
He says they'd like to see more people encouraged into the industry.
