Non-HSE staff that were promised a Covid bonus from the State in January are still waiting to receive it.
Cleaners, non-HSE nurses, porters, security staff and social care assistants were among those promised the payment, in recognition of their work during the height of the Covid Pandemic.
The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is calling on the Health Minister to urgently intervene.
The HSE’s National Director of Human Resources, Anne Marie Hoey, told an Oireachtas Health Committee today she expects the payment to be made later this year.
