Ashling Murphy's students and fellow musicians will take part in her funeral mass, which gets underway at 11 o'clock this morning.
First class pupils from Durrow NS will form a guard of honour while the Murphy family has invited local musicians to play at the graveyard.
Schools across the country will hold a minutes silence at 11 o'clock to pay respect to the 23 year old teacher.
Paddy Buckley is a family friend of the Murphy he says they're devastated.
"They've aged ten years in a week.
"They're absolutely shattered and devastated, it's just the way things happened, such a horrific incident, it's shattering for the whole family, and their friends and neighbours.
"We're a tight community here, and it's devastating for us all."
TD for Laois-Offaly Barry Cowan says the Murphy family should be given the space to grieve.
"Ashling's sister Amy appealed last night that they be given a bit of space to allow the funeral service to reflect adequately and appropriately her full life, and everything that was contained in it."
