The funeral of a teenage boy killed in a crash in Mitchelstown will take place later today.
Johnny Foley of Spur Hill in Togher was killed when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into another car on the M8 at approximately 1am on Saturday.
The car was being driven the wrong way down the motorway, and 4 other teenagers were injured in the incident.
The driver of the other car, a woman in her 30's, is being treated for serious injuries in hospital.
The incident is being investigated by GSOC and Gardai in Mitchelstown are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
Johnny Foley's funeral will take place at the Church of the Assumption in Ballyphehane this morning.
