Further protests are expected following the the sacking of 800 workers at P&O Ferries.
A series of demonstrations took place yesterday in support of workers who were let go on Thursday.
P&O currently operates two routes from Ireland, including a Dublin Port to Liverpool route comprising mostly freight traffic along with passengers in cars
The company has faced faced a huge backlash.
The company is blaming financial losses because on the pandemic - and says it had no other choice
But Sinn Fein's Economy spokesperson Coaime Archibald says its unacceptable
"I think they need to bring pressure to bear. They need to display that public revulsion that, people of all backgrounds, have for this behaviour. And to say this isn't acceptable in Northern Ireland and in Britain in the 21st century. We don't tolerate this type of thing."
