More than 200 thousand emergency calls, over 3 thousand of which related to domestic violence, were cancelled between 2019 and 2020.An independent report also found inaccurate recording of information meant officers were sent to the wrong locations.Garda Commissioner Drew Harris says the force is not putting it down to a systems failure:
"The pending report is very clear about the individual actions of garda as well. There are discipline appointments have been made have been made. So that means discipline investigations are ongoing, there has been public accountability and indeed the minister herself has held me to account as well."
