Gardaí are carrying out a 'high-visibility campaign' today, aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour on intercity railway routes.
The patrols will take place between 3 o'clock this afternoon and 11 o'clock tonight on eight inter-city routes nationally, including to and from Cork.
Local Gardaí will deliver crime prevention advice at Kent Station in Cork, as well as stations in Dublin, Limerick, and Waterford - amongst others.
The aim of the campaign is to improve safety on public transport, and provide crime prevention advice.
