Gardaí leaving the force are increasingly blaming bullying and unfair treatment as their reasons.
106 officers have left the force early this year, around the same number as last year and more than double the number in 2017.
The GRA has conducted exit interviews with 40 of those quitting so far this year.
Tara McManus, Assistant to the General Secretary of the GRA, says many reasons are common:
"The number one reason why they were leaving was due to a sense of feeling that they have been subjected to unfair treatment, discipline, or the threat of discipline, or they felt that they've been bullied by management. And then the two other top answers that came in were: suffering from work related stress, mental health issues and burnout. And then the third reason was feeling that the workload was too much, that there weren't the resources to effectively do their jobs".
