Gig organisers are warning concerts may have to be cancelled this weekend because of confusion over guidance for the sector.

The regulations say indoor live music events should be fully seated, appearing to rule out gigs sold on a standing-only basis.

Christy Leech, who goes by Le Boom, is due to play two sold-out gigs this weekend - and says urgent clarity is needed:

"As it stands, you know, we don't really know where we stand really you know we, we've got two gigs coming up at the weekend, one on Friday in Cork and one in Dublin, on Saturday night. So, actually, I'm about to head out the door now to our final rehearsals and we get a lot of our lighting in from Belfast, we really honestly needed that to know in the next couple of hours. And what are these gigs are going ahead."
