The Government has published details of new laws that aim to support a better work-life balance.
If approved, it would would see the introduction of paid leave of up to 5 days per year for victims of domestic violence.
The entitlement to take breastfeeding breaks at work, for new mothers, would also be extended for from 6 months to 2 years.
The Minister for Children and Equality, Roderic O'Gorman, says the new laws will also help those with caring responsibilities.
