Government ministers have claimed around 260-thousand euro worth of allowances which allow them to buy or rent a second home in Dublin.
The Irish Independent quotes Revenue Commissioners saying between 10 and 14 ministers received the allowance in the past four years.
Several Junior Ministers have also claimed the payment.
The Department of Finance said no discussions had taken place in recent years about ending the availability of the allowance.
