A government oversight over an oil levy means a fuel cut promised in the budget has been scrapped, costing motorists and another €20 million euro.
A report in today's Irish Independent says Environment sources have confirmed the promised cut of 1 cent per litre is NOT now going ahead.
That's despite the Department of Finance having followed with a matching cut in excise duty.
