A group of engaged couples had a special blessing in Dublin today at the Shrine of St Valentine.
Bishop Michael Router, the Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh welcomed them to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Whitefriar Street Church as they celebrated the easing of Covid 19 restrictions.
He says joy was clearly in the air as couples looked forward to asking friends and family to join them for their special day.
"We still have a very high level of belief in this country and they want God to be with them every step of the way in their lives, and particularly in the significant moments.
And that's why things such as first communions, confirmations, weddings or funerals - whatever - are still very popular and well-attended by people because they wish to ask the Lord to be present with them."
