Hamas insists more civilian hostages will be freed if Israel stops its air strikes on Gaza.
The group's currently thought to be keeping more than 200 people against their will - but announced last night they were releasing two elderly people on humanitarian grounds.
Israeli bombings have stepped up - as teams were sent in to search for the missing hostages.
A senior militant leader, Khaled Meshaal, says stopping the bombardment is the only way forward:
"Let them stop this aggression and you will find the mediators like Qatar and some Arab countries like Egypt and others, they will find the way to have them released and we will send them to their homes".
