Tens of thousands of health service staff are due to engage in a work-to-rule from March 31st.
Fórsa and the INMO have announced the action in relation to the HSE's 'Pay and Numbers Strategy', which it's claimed is an extension of a recruitment embargo.
The work-to-rule includes not working overtime or undertaking other out-of-hours tasks.
National Secretary for Forsa, Linda Kelly, says she has yet to see an actual document for the 'Pay and Numbers Strategy',
"I've seen a set of slides that were presented as a fait accompli to trade unions and our members, but certainly for me, a strategy contains the evidence base behind decisions. It contains the figures in relation to staffing, and the HSE has failed to provide that or to consult with members in relation to this issue".
