Some hospital charges for children could soon be abolished.
The Health Minister is seeking Cabinet approval this morning, and hopes to have legislation this week.
It's expected to come into effect by the autumn, along with the free contraceptive pill for 18 to 25 year-olds.
Minister Stephen Donnelly says the removal of hospital fees for children will be for inpatient and day cases:
"This morning I'm seeking a final agreement from government to bring in legislation that hopefully this week, which would target two really important areas. One is that we would be abolishing our hospital charges for children."
