Hospital consultants say the country's facing a ticking time-bomb over hospital waiting lists.
Over 896,000 patients are on some form of hospital waiting list with the Covid crisis causing many surgeries to be postponed.
IHCA President, Professor Alan Irving says the latest figures are damning:
"We're unfortunately going nowhere with making inroads into these really historic high figures. And that's been a consequence of years of capacity not meeting demand, but then the additional COVID effect, and then the really disastrous effect of the cyber attack which attacked a very weak IT infrastructure. And now we're back into what looks like a really challenging winter."
