The Restaurants Association of Ireland says this should include fines and closures.
It follows a meeting between the hospitality sector, Government officials and the Deputy CMO Dr Ronan Glynn this afternoon.The Economic and Social Research Institute conducted a report which showed that around 70% of businesses are compliant while 7% are not, with a further 23% classified as not fully compliant.
Representatives from the hospitality industry are due to meet the Taoiseach later today to discuss this further.
