The Housing Minister's ordered a report into allegations published in relation to a member of An Bord Pleanála.
Minister Darragh O'Brien says the allegations have been denied by the member concerned.
It centres on reports of conflicts of interest.
Minister O'Brien's appointed senior counsel Remy Farrell to provide a report on the issue.
Earlier in the Dáil, Taoiseach Michael Martin said there may be issues that need clarification:
"That issue that Deputy O'Callaghan raised, in terms of An Bord Pleanála, again the Minister for Housing will examine that. There may be issues there that need to be examined further or clarified".
